To perform a local diagnostic follow the steps below to access the web administration interface of the SBC (Single Board Computer):
1. Connect Your Laptop to the SBC
Connect your laptop via an Ethernet connection (RJ45 patch cable) to the LAN interface of the SBC.
Try opening the web address http://169.254.1.1:8300/ in your browser. If this does not work, follow the instructions in the next section "Adjusting Adapter and Network Settings."
1.1 If the charging station is already part of a local network, you can access the web interface using the IP address and port 8300 (e.g.,
192.168.X.X:8300
), provided you are on the same network as the controller charging station.
2. Connecting to the SBC of the Controller Charging Infrastructure
SBC (Single Board Computer): The location of the RJ45 port varies depending on the CP model (CP = Charge Point).
RJ45 Port for Wallbox eMH3
RJ45 Port for Wallbox eMH2
For eMC2 & eMC3 charging columns, the SBC with the required RJ45 port is located in the yellow-marked box.
Open your preferred browser and enter the following default IP address to access the SBC:
http://169.254.1.1:8300/
3. Adjusting Adapter and Network Settings
⚠️ Adjusting local network settings is only necessary if you're simultaneously connected to another network (e.g., via Wi-Fi) or if access as described above was unsuccessful.
Update your laptop’s network settings to the addresses below. The exact steps depend on your operating system. After that, repeat step 2 above.
Network Address: 169.254.1.8 (the last digit may vary between 1–8)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
4. What Can I See in the Web Administration Interface?
The Web Administration Interface is a small web server running on the SBC, accessible via any standard web browser.
The main purpose is to configure and check whether all installed components of the charging infrastructure are functioning correctly.
The home page of the interface is under the tab:
“General -> Overview”, which provides general information about the status of the charging infrastructure.
5. How Do I Check the Status of the Charging Ports?
When you hover the mouse over the ports, additional information about the state of each charging port will be displayed.
The lines “Hardware” and “Network Access” provide self-explanatory details about the hardware status and the connection status between the charging infrastructure and the reev backend.
If the charging infrastructure can reach and register with the reev backend, the connection status should appear green, as shown in the screenshot.
6. Charging Port Status Indicators
Grey (Status E) → Charging port deactivated or temporarily unavailable
Black / Misconfigured → Invalid configuration
Unknown Status → Unknown
Not Present → Device not present
Turquoise (Status B2) → Vehicle connected and authorized
Yellow (Status B1) → Vehicle connected, waiting for authorization
Red (Status F) → Error / malfunction present
Blue (Status C2) → Vehicle currently charging
Green (Status A) → Waiting for vehicle (available)
7. How Can I Retrieve a Diagnostic of the Charging Infrastructure?
To view specific error messages related to the hardware components, click on the tab:
“Products -> Diagnosis”
8. How Can I Report a Fault or Malfunction to ABL?
The best way to contact ABL support is via their homepage, where you can submit a support ticket with relevant information. https://www.ablmobility.de/de/service/support/
