PV-optimised charging is expected to be available starting May 18, 2026.
PV‑optimised charging extends the capabilities of the reev EMS with a cloud‑based, predictive control system. Instead of merely reacting to current solar generation, the system plans charging sessions based on forecasts of PV production and the site’s expected energy demand.

How PV‑optimised Charging works
The system takes into account:
expected PV generation,
the site’s projected energy demand, and
individual vehicle charging requirements.
Based on this information, reev EMS schedules charging sessions so that vehicles are charged on time while maximizing the share of solar energy used.
This makes PV‑optimised charging ideal for sites that want to use their solar energy not only during moments of surplus but to actively plan charging operations ahead of time according to expected solar generation.
Activation in the reev Platform
PV‑optimised charging is activated directly within the reev Platform (Menu Energy Management Sub-menu Configuration). A dedicated activation flow guides you step by step through the configuration and collects all necessary site and PV data. Afterwards, adjustments may be made at any time.
In contrast to Local PV Integration, no hardware installation or local metering setup is required – making the start especially simple, fast, and fully digital.
In the Platform (Energy Management → Overview), three additional KPIs are displayed:

How much does PV-optimised charging cost?
The PV-optimised charging feature is currently included in the reev Business and reev Enterprise licenses.
For all reev Pro accounts, a free trial phase will be available after launch until July 15, 2026. After this period, continued use is expected to cost approximately €3 per charging point per month. The contract term is 1 year.
