Note: This behaviour usually indicates a hardware or configuration issue with the charging station.

When setting up a charging group, it may happen that not all charging points appear under the main station. This article explains why this happens and how to fix the issue.

What Is a Charging Group?

A charging group allows multiple connectors to operate under a common main station (controller). This configuration supports load management, smart charging functions, and group-level control.

Common Issue: Missing Charging Points

After connecting the main station, all available connectors linked to it should be displayed. If some charging points are missing, the possible causes are:

  • Incorrect group configuration

  • Incomplete or faulty physical installation

  • Communication issues between the devices

How to Fix the Issue

1. Check the Group Configuration

  • Ensure that the main station is set up as the controller.

  • All additional connectors must be correctly configured as subordinate units (extenders).

  • All devices must use the same network protocol.

Tip: Some models require manual setting of device IDs (e.g., via DIP switches or software settings).

2. Check the Physical Installation

  • Make sure all connectors are properly wired and powered.

  • Carefully inspect network or bus connections.

  • Restart the main station to initiate a fresh device scan.

3. Consult the Manufacturer’s Installation Manual

Each manufacturer may have specific requirements regarding:

  • Cable types and lengths

  • Network topology

  • Addressing rules or settings

  • Firmware compatibility

Please refer to the manufacturer’s official installation guide for accurate setup instructions.

4. Contact the Manufacturer

If the issue persists after performing the above steps:

  • Contact the manufacturer’s technical support.

  • They can assist with firmware checks, diagnostic tools, or remote troubleshooting.
