In this article, you will learn how to restart the ABL charging stations eMH2, eMH3, and eM4. If an ABL charging station or charging group is shown as offline in the reev Dashboard, a restart can help re-establish the connection to the backend.

General Notes

  • After a restart, it may take up to 10 minutes for the charging station to be shown as online again in the reev Dashboard.

  • After restarting, check the LED indicators of the LTE stick as well as the status in the Dashboard.

  • Verify proper operation after the restart (e.g. status, charging processes).

  • If the charging station is still offline after this waiting time, please contact the respective manufacturer’s support or reev Support.

ABL eMH2 – Performing a Restart

  1. Open the housing cover using the supplied cover key on the underside.

  2. Open the operating flap.

  3. Switch off all RCDs (blue) and the circuit breaker (grey).

  4. Wait approximately 30 seconds.

  5. Unplug the LTE stick and plug it back in.

  6. Switch the RCDs and the circuit breaker back on.

  7. Check that the LTE stick is correctly inserted and that the LED is blinking properly.

ABL eMH3 – Performing a Restart

  1. Open the eMH3 controller charging station using the triangular key on the top.

  2. Unplug the LTE stick from the USB port on the inside of the housing door and plug it back in.

  3. Switch off all RCDs (blue) and the circuit breaker (grey).

  4. Wait approximately 30 seconds.

  5. Switch the RCDs and the circuit breaker back on.

  6. Check that the LTE stick is correctly inserted and that the LED (e.g. on Huawei sticks) is blinking green.

ABL eM4 – Performing a Restart

Option 1: For Operators and Qualified Electricians

  1. Switch off the charging group via the upstream miniature circuit breaker (MCB) in the building installation.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.

  3. Switch the circuit breaker back on.

→ The charging group will restart automatically.

Option 2: For Qualified Electricians Only

  1. Unlock both side RCD flaps on the controller wallbox and open the housing door.

  2. Press the reset push button on the main module with an insulated screwdriver for less than 3 seconds.

Important: If the reset button is pressed for longer than 3 seconds, the wallbox will be reset to factory settings. After a factory reset, a new configuration according to the reev eM4 instructions is required.
