In this guide, you will find information on setting up the internet connection for a Teltonika router using our SIM cards.
We will not cover local network configuration or IP address assignment here. If you need assistance with network configuration, please contact your IT administrator.
Step 1: Accessing the Router's Web Interface
You can access the web interface via the default IP address: 192.168.1.1
The default IP address and the initial password should be included in the documentation or found directly on the Teltonika router.
You will be required to change the password after the first login. A prompt for this should appear automatically.
It may be necessary to manually adjust the IP settings of your computer’s network adapter in order to access the web interface.
If you encounter difficulties accessing the web interface, please contact Teltonika Support or consult Teltonika’s extensive knowledge base.
Step 2: Perform a Firmware Update
Before proceeding with the configuration, we recommend updating your router’s firmware.
The latest firmware can be found on the Teltonika website. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
You can perform the firmware update via the web interface under:
“System → Firmware → Update Firmware”
Step 3: Configure the Router
Set the mobile WAN interface as the "primary connection" (see video further below).
To do this, go to “Network → WAN” and drag the Mobile Interface to the top of the list.
We also recommend disabling the other WAN interfaces if they are not going to be used.
Make sure to save and apply the settings!
There is also the option to configure other WAN interfaces as failover connections to ensure redundancy in the internet connection.
This will not be covered in this guide, and we recommend contacting your IT administrator for assistance.(Optional)
Enter APN Settings
You can also enter the APN settings under the Mobile Interface in the WAN interfaces section.

Disable Failover Settings for the Mobile WAN
Go to “Network → Failover”.
The default IP addresses listed there (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8) cannot be reached via our SIM card.
As a result, the WAN connection is always detected as "offline" Therefore, please disable this setting by switching the toggle to "Off".
The internet connection using our SIM card is now successfully configured.
You can verify the connectivity under:
“Status → Network → Mobile”
