General charging station installation guide

This guide outlines the integration process of the reev backend software into supported charging stations. Here an overview: https://reev.com/en/customers-partners/hardwarepartner/

Prerequisites

  • reev Set (includes: SIM card, QR code stickers, activation code)

  • Check the vendor manual for specific installation guidance and on how to configure the station

Configuration Requirements

  • The charging station must be on the latest firmware version.

  • Charging stations must be preconfigured for inter-device communication, including:

    • Static IP setup or DHCP

    • Network topology (e.g. switches, WiFi)

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Configure Network Settings

1.1 LTE Setup (Skip if using LAN)

Insert SIM into the charging station and navigate to the "Network" section and set:

  • APN: emonvia

  • APN Username: Leave blank

  • APN Password: Leave blank

Note: Delete APN details if connecting via LAN.

1.2 LAN Configuration

Under Ethernet configuration:

  • Static: Manually enter IP and network settings.

  • DHCP Server: Automatically assign IP.

Important: Ensure WLAN router setting is enabled when using unmanaged switches.

2. Backend Configuration

Navigate to the "Backend" menu and configure:

  • Connection Type: GSM

  • ChargePointID: Manufacturer_SerialNumber

    • Replace all . with _

  • OCPP Mode: OCPP-J-1.6

  • OCPP URL (WebSocket):
    wss://ocpp.reev.com

Troubleshooting

If no backend connection is established:

  • Verify all previous configuration steps.

  • Confirm:

    • SIM insertion

    • Correct APN (if using LTE)

    • Valid backend URL

    • Proper IP settings

    • OCPP charge point ID formatting
