Here you can learn how to integrate the reev software into a ABL charging station.
The integration can be done independently in a few simple steps.
Compatible models: Wallbox eMH2, Wallbox eMH3, Wallbox eMC2, charging station eMC3
What is necessary in advance so that the integration can take place
reev operator set
The operator / CPO (CPO = Charge Point Operator) or contracted service provider must have received the operator set. Here, you will find the necessary onboarding materials, such as QR code sticker, SIM card and activation codeLaptop
You will need a laptop to connect to the controller charging infrastructure via a RJ45 data cableAn active internet connection via Ethernet or WiFi to connect to the reev backend.
Step-by-step Integration
In the following chapters, the integration process is demonstrated step-by-step. If you have all the necessary utensils from the previous chapter at hand, you can carry out the integration in parallel.
1. Inserting the Sim card into the LTE stick
If the HUAWEI LTE stick is used (standard SIM size):
You need a SIM card in standard SIM format.
Take off the cover on the top of the LTE stick.
The cut-off corner of the SIM card must face downwards to the right.
If the ALCATEL LTE stick is used (standard SIM size):
You need a SIM card in standard SIM format.
Take off the cover on the top of the LTE stick.
The cut-off corner of the SIM card must face downwards to the right.
2. Connect your laptop to the SBC of the controller charging station
SBC (Single Board Computer)
The position of the RJ45 connector differs depending on the CP model (CP = Charge Point)
3. Access the SBC
Open your preferred browser and use the following IP address (default) to access the SBC:
ATTENTION
First change your local network settings as follows (if they are not set by default)
INFO
Make sure to update the SBC software to the latest version available here, if the CP is not running on the latest version --> Download ABL | eMobility by ABL
To download the latest SBC software version, click on:
Software
Software Controller charging stations -> Software update -> Version 1.8p3
To run the software update, go to the ABL User Interface and click on:
“Maintenance” -> System
“Software Update” and select the file if it has already been downloaded from the ABL website.
INFO
Please note that the SBC update may take up to 20 minutes to complete, based on the software version of the SBC as well as the number of charging ports in your charging group.
4. Select the backend template for reev to fill in the settings
Go to “Connectivity”, subsection “Backend”, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the template according to the connection type “LTE” or “LAN”.
Set up the “General Setting: Click on “Operation” subsection “General”
Define the following settings for the “Behaviour in case of power failure” and confirm them individually by clicking on “Save”.
OCPP configuration
Set up the “Authorisation settings” as follows
Check the boxes for “Lock when plugged in”, “Short UIDs” and “Local authorisation (offline)” and confirm with save
5. Restart the charging infrastructure
switching off the power on site
waiting 10 seconds and switching on the fuses again.
If you now check the SBC web interface again after a short waiting time, you should see the following on the overview page if the charging infrastructure has successfully connected to the reev backend.
