This guide explains how to use the reev eWizard to install and configure charging stations. Follow each step carefully to ensure a complete and correct setup.

Step 1 – Start a New Installation

  1. Open the reev eWizard.

  2. Select “Start new installation”.

Step 2 – Create the Location

The first step is to define the location. Enter the following information:

  • Location name – This name identifies the site.
(Note: The customer can change this name later when the station is added to the reev Platform.)

  • Main fuse limit – Define the total available current capacity for the site.

  • Enable (static) reev EMSEnable or disable static load management depending on the site setup.

If you need guidance for enabling dynamic load management, a link is available that leads to further information.

Step 3 – Add the Charging Stations

Next, the charging stations that will be installed at the defined location have to be added. Complete the following selections:

  1. Select Vendor – Choose the manufacturer of the charging stations.

  2. Select Model – Choose the correct model from the list.

  3. Select How Many Stations Will Be Installed – Enter the total number of charging stations to be added.

Once all details are provided, the stations will appear in the overview list with their setup status.

Note: In this step, it will be possible to choose pre-configured models. The pre-configured option is only visible for the models that support it. Pre-configured means that the station is delivered with the reev configuration and includes reev-branded materials or stickers in the packaging. This is usually reflected in the product name, such as “ABL eM4 reev ready” or “Schneider Electric reev pre-configured”.

Step 4 – Complete the Installation Flow for Each Station

Each charging station must go through its own configuration flow within the same installation. For every station:

  1. Identify the station – Enter the serial number or charge box ID to identify the device. Clicking on a specific station in the overview takes you directly to the station identification view.

  2. After successful identification, the system will prompt you to enter all required connector parameters. Provide the following technical details per connector:

    • EVSE-ID

    • Phase rotation

    • Maximum load

  3. Once all required connector details are entered, the connector status changes from incomplete (yellow) to completed (green).

  4. Once one station’s configuration is marked as complete, proceed with the next one until all listed stations are fully configured.

Adjusting the Station List

  • If too many or incorrect stations were added, they can be removed individually from the overview.

  • If additional stations need to be added (e.g., a different model or forgotten units), click “Add charging station” and repeat the same configuration flow.

Step 5 – Finalize the Installation and Receive Reports

Once all stations are configured, finalize the installation process:

  1. Provide Required Contact Details – Enter the electrician’s contact information and confirm consent to the privacy policy.

  2. Enter Customer Email Address – This is mandatory to ensure the customer receives the installation documentation.

  3. Finalize Installation – Confirm the setup to complete the installation process.

After finalization:

  • The electrician receives guidance on how to hand over the license keys to the customer.

  • Both the electrician and the customer automatically receive the installation report, which includes:

    • Location information

    • Details of all installed charging stations

This report ensures a transparent and complete handover to the customer and supports an efficient onboarding process on the reev Platform.

Customers can find detailed instructions on how to add the configured charging stations to their reev Dashboard in this article: How to add a charging stations
