Easee – Configuring the reev Software

This article describes how to integrate the reev software into an Easee charging station. The configuration is done via the Easee App and can be completed independently in just a few steps.


Supported Models

The following Easee models are supported:

  • Easee Charge

  • Easee Charge Lite

  • Easee Home


Prerequisites

Make sure the following prerequisites are met before starting the integration:

  • Easee App (available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store)

  • An active internet connection for the charging station via Ethernet or WiFi to establish the connection to the reev backend


Step-by-Step Guide

The following steps guide you through the entire integration process. Have all materials from the "Prerequisites" section ready.

Download the Easee App and Create an Account

  1. Download the Easee App:

    Alternatively, you can use the Easee Portal: easee.cloud/auth/signin

  2. Create an account in the Easee App.

  3. Activate your account with the verification code you receive on your mobile phone and log in.

Prepare the Charging Station

Activate the Bluetooth signal of the charging station. Press the touch button above the LED strip until the connection is established. The charging station is now ready to be paired with the app.

Note: According to the official Easee documentation, the touch button activates the Bluetooth connection. This is required to connect the charging station locally with the app.

Add the Charging Station to the App

  1. In the Easee App, select the menu item Products and tap Add product.

  2. Select the Charging Robot.

  3. Enter the serial number and PIN code.

Note: According to the official Easee documentation, the PIN code is located on the front of the Chargeberry. The serial number can be found on the sticker on the Type 2 socket on the underside of the charging station cover, as well as on the back of the manual.

Tap View product. The charging station is now linked to your account.

Set Up WiFi Connection

  1. Scroll down and tap WiFi (WLAN).

  2. Select an available WiFi network and tap Save.

Establish Connection with reev

  1. Scroll up and tap the menu item Sites.

  2. Select the Operator and search for reev.

  3. Tap reev and then tap Pair.

  4. The charging station will now be connected to the reev backend. The integration is complete.


Troubleshooting

Problem

Possible Cause

Solution

Charging station is not found in the app

Bluetooth is not activated

Press the touch button on the charging station again and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone

WiFi connection fails

Incorrect password or weak signal

Check the WiFi password and make sure the charging station is within range of the WiFi router

Operator "reev" is not displayed

No active internet connection

Make sure the charging station is connected to WiFi and has an active internet connection

Pairing with reev fails

Connection issue

Restart the charging station and try again. Contact reev support if the problem persists

Commissioning via the reev Companion

Once the charging station has been successfully configured, it can be commissioned via the reev Companion.
