What is a parking fee?
A parking fee at charging stations refers to the costs that users must pay for parking their electric vehicle at a charging station. This fee, activated by the operator, is charged in addition to the actual charging costs. It begins after a certain time period once the vehicle is connected and helps regulate the availability of charging stations.
Important note:
For eRoaming, the parking fee is not calculated based on the total plug-in time. Instead, it is calculated from the start of the charging session until the stop of the charging session.
How can I activate the parking fee?
Note: The parking fee is currently only available for the "Drivers & Vehicles" user groups and eRoaming (with restrictions, see below).
To activate the parking fee, click on the pencil icon in the tariff tile of a user group (in the User Groups menu).
There, you can set a per-minute fee (e.g., €0.20 per minute) and choose when the fee should start (in 30-minute steps after the vehicle is connected, e.g. after 1.5 hours). You can also set a limit for parking fees. Once the limit is reached, no further parking fees will be charged for that session.
Where can I view the charged parking fee?
In the Monitoring menu, under the Charging History submenu, your recorded charging sessions are displayed. When you click on a specific session, various details, including parking fees, will appear in the sidebar (see image).

How do I activate the parking fee for eRoaming?
A parking fee of €0.12 per minute is automatically activated, provided that you have enabled the eRoaming user group in your reev Platform.
For eRoaming, the parking fee is not calculated based on the total plug-in time.
Instead, the following logic applies: Time is measured from the start of the transaction until the stop of the transaction - meaning exclusively during an active charging session.
This means:
The fee is only calculated within an ongoing transaction.
Periods during which the vehicle remains plugged in but no active transaction is running are not considered.
From a technical perspective, this is therefore not a classic parking fee based purely on standing time, but rather a time-based surcharge applied during an active charging session in the eRoaming context.
The fee applies under the following conditions:
AC charging stations
Applies after 240 minutes of active charging time
€0.12 per minute
Maximum amount: €12
DC charging stations
Applies after 120 minutes of active charging time
€0.12 per minute
Maximum amount: €12
The fee only accrues as long as the transaction remains active.
Use Cases
A vehicle is connected to an AC charging station and actively charges for more than 4 hours. After the 4th hour, additional parking fees apply for the user (€0.12 per minute, with a maximum of €12).
A vehicle is connected to a DC charging station and actively charges for more than 2 hours. After the 2nd hour, additional parking fees apply for the user (€0.12 per minute, with a maximum of €12).
The actual fees charged to drivers may differ from €0.12. This amount refers solely to the share passed on to you as the charging station operator from the E-Mobility Provider.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I adjust the price of the parking fees in eRoaming?
As with eRoaming fees, the parking fees are determined by the E-Mobility Providers. Therefore, they cannot be adjusted.
