What is a user?
Users can be added to your reev platform so that charging sessions can be assigned to specific users, or so users can be granted access to the reev Driver App. There are two types of users: with or without an email address, each covering different use cases.
User Invitation with the reev Pro License
With the reev Pro license, you define the conditions under which users can charge, based on the user group they belong to.
After creating a user group, you can invite users by clicking the ⊕-icon next to the respective user group. Then, follow the step-by-step guide for inviting users below.
User Invitation with the reev Compact License
With the reev Compact license, you can invite users by navigating to the Users menu, selecting Drivers & Vehicles, and clicking Add new at the top of the screen.
Step-by-Step User Invitation
Step 1: Invite Users With or Without an Email Address
When inviting a new user, you can choose whether to invite them with or without an email address.
Invite users with an email address: Add drivers to invite users to charge at your charging infrastructure. Invited drivers will receive an invitation to the reev App via the provided email address. This option is ideal for employees or tenants. You can find more information about the benefits of our free reev App for your users at the end of this article.
Invite users without an email address: Add vehicles to assign charging cards to vehicles - useful for pool or company cars.
Step 2: Assign a Charging Card
If you invite a user without an email address, you must assign them a charging card so that their charging sessions can be tracked and assigned properly.
More information on adding charging cardsIf you invite a user with an email address, this step is optional. The user can start charging sessions via the reev App or add charging cards to their reev App user account by their own.
Step 3: Add Cost Center and/or Vehicle Information (Optional)
You can add additional information for the user, such as a cost center or vehicle data. These details are optional but can help with analyzing charging sessions.
Step 4: Prioritize User for Faster Charging
You can define whether a user should always charge at full speed, even if the maximum load capacity of your charging infrastructure is reached. Other, non-prioritized users will then charge at a slower rate.
Note: This feature requires the free reev Energymanagementsystem to be activated on your charging infrastructure.
Your drivers benefit from the following features of the reev App:
Start charging sessions using QR codes at the charging points – no charging card is needed.
Independently add charging cards to their user account.
Monitor active charging sessions in real-time.
End charging sessions via the app.
Receive notifications about finished charging sessions.
View and download charging history and invoices.
