This article describes the complete workflow for activating a Payter Apollo Payment Terminal at your charging infrastructure. You will learn which prerequisites must be met, which information is required and how the activation process works.
Supported Model
The procedure described applies exclusively to the Payter Apollo model.
Prerequisites
Before requesting activation, make sure the following prerequisites are met.
Terminal Installation
The terminal must be physically installed on-site. Refer to the terminal manual or contact Payter support directly.
Make sure the terminal is powered on.
Internet Connectivity
The terminal requires an active internet connection. The following connection types are supported:
LAN (Ethernet)
SIM card from Payter (usually included in the delivery)
Note: When purchasing the terminal through our partner die-ladesaeule.de, the SIM card is usually pre-installed and delivered with the terminal.
Note: The CPO (Charge Point Operator) should confirm with the vendor where the terminal was purchased whether a SIM card is included.
Inserting the SIM Card and Antenna
If you need to insert the SIM card and install the antenna yourself, follow this step:
Carefully insert the antenna into the MAIN_RF port (outer entry, marked green in the photo below). Make sure the knob of the antenna remains intact.
Note: Handle the antenna with great care when inserting it. Damage to the knob can impair the mobile connection.
