This article describes how to access the SBC web interface of the ABL eM4 charging station. The web interface is used for error analysis and monitoring of the charging station.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites must be met:
The ABL eM4 charging station is installed and connected to a power supply.
You have a laptop or another device with Wi-Fi capability and a web browser.
An internet connection is not required.
Note: The configuration of the ABL eM4 should generally be carried out via the manufacturer's ABL Configuration App. The SBC web interface is primarily suited for error analysis and monitoring.
Access via the Charging Station's Wi-Fi Hotspot
The easiest way to access the web interface is by connecting directly via the Wi-Fi hotspot provided by the charging station.
The following steps are required to establish the connection:
Identify the charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot
The ABL eM4 automatically broadcasts a Wi-Fi network (hotspot mode). The SSID (network name) is noted on a label on the charging station or in the manufacturer's documentation.
Connect to the Wi-Fi network
Connect your device (e.g. laptop) to the charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot. The connection is used exclusively for local communication with the charging station.
Open the web interface in the browser
Open a web browser and enter the following IP address in the address bar: http://10.10.10.200
Access the web interface
The SBC web interface will now be displayed in the browser.
Note: If the charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot is not visible, restart the controller or the charging station. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer's installation manual.
Access via the Local Network
If the ABL eM4 is connected to an existing network (e.g. company network) via a LAN cable or Wi-Fi, access can also be established via this network.
The following steps are required to establish the connection:
Determine the charging station's local IP address
The IP address assigned to the charging station in the local network must be known. It can be determined in the following ways:
Via the router or modem's user interface (e.g. in the DHCP client log)
Via network scanning software (e.g. Advanced IP Scanner)
Via the responsible network administrator
Connect your device to the same network
Make sure your device (e.g. laptop) is connected to the same local network as the charging station.
Open the web interface in the browser
Open a web browser and enter the determined IP address, e.g.: http://192.168.0.XXX
Access the web interface
The SBC web interface will now be displayed in the browser.
Tip: Note down the charging station's local IP address for future access. Be aware that the IP address may change after a restart when using DHCP assignment. A static IP assignment in the router can prevent this.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Solution |
Charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot is not visible | Restart the controller or the charging station. |
Web interface does not load in the browser | Check whether your device is connected to the correct network. Make sure the correct IP address has been entered. |
Connection via local network fails | Check whether the device and the charging station are in the same subnet. Contact the network administrator if necessary. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an internet connection to access the web interface?
No. Access to the SBC web interface works entirely without an internet connection. Communication takes place locally between your device and the charging station.
Can I configure the charging station via the web interface?
The web interface is primarily used for error analysis and monitoring. The ABL Configuration App is recommended for configuring the charging station.
What is the default IP address in hotspot mode?
The default IP address of the ABL eM4 in hotspot mode is 10.10.10.200.
