Note: Only applicable to MENNEKES Professional charging stations that have two connectors (with Bender charge controller)
Issue
Remote authorizations (e.g. via the reev app or the reev website for ad-hoc charging) only work on the left charging point, but not on the right charging point.
Cause: The setting "Send OCPP Authorize for RemoteStart requests" is still enabled on the right charging point (Slave) and needs to be disabled.
Background
Each charging point of a MENNEKES Professional charging station has its own Bender charge controller:
Left charging point = Master (Controller) – holds the main configuration
Right charging point = Slave (Extender) – normally inherits the configuration from the Master
In some cases, the Master's configuration is not correctly transferred to the Slave. This can result in the setting "Send OCPP Authorize for RemoteStart requests" being disabled on the Master, while remaining enabled on the Slave (right charging point).
Solution: Disable the setting on the Slave
The charging station has a legacy configuration page that allows direct configuration of the Slave.
Open the legacy configuration page in your browser:
http://<IP-Address>:82/legacy/operator/operatorLog in using the password of the Slave controller. (This can be found in the charging station documentation.)
Navigate to the Operator section.
Find the option "Send OCPP Authorize for RemoteStart requests" and disable it (set to "Off").
Scroll down and click "Save and Restart".
After the Slave controller has restarted, remote authorization should also work on the right charging point. Test this by starting a charging session via the reev app or the reev website.
