This article explains how electricians can access charging stations after completing their configuration in the reev Companion, review installation details, and request a new access link if the original one has expired.

The reev Companion can be accessed via the following link: https://config.reev.com/start

Purpose

After configuration, electricians can securely access the installed charging stations and their status information through a time‑limited access link.

This enables them to:

  • Review the installation setup

  • Check the operational status of charging stations

  • Access troubleshooting information when needed

Initial Access via Installation Report Email

Once the configuration of a charging station is completed, the electrician receives an installation report email. This email contains a secure access link that opens the installation overview in the reev Companion.

The link provides direct access to the installation. To start a new installation, the setup process can be initiated via: https://config.reev.com/start

Through the access link, electricians can view:

  • The installation overview

  • All configured charging stations

  • The status of each connector (e.g., active, faulted, offline, unavailable)

  • Connectivity information

  • Fault details and troubleshooting guidance (if applicable)

This overview allows electricians to quickly verify the configuration and operational status of the installed charging stations.

The access link included in the installation report email is valid for 14 days. This limited validity ensures secure access to installation information while still allowing electricians to revisit the installation when necessary.

Requesting a New Access Link

If the original access link has expired after 14 days, there are two ways to request a new one:

Option 1: Request via Expired Link Page

If you click the original link after it has expired, you will be automatically redirected to a link expiry page. From there, you can directly request a new access link.

Option 2: Request via Link Request Page

If you no longer have the original email or link, you can manually request a new one:

  1. Enter the following information:

    • Your electrician email address

    • The installation job ID (found in the original installation report email)

  2. Submit the request. A new access link will be generated and sent to your email address.

Notes:

  • Access links are time‑limited for security reasons.

  • A new link can be requested at any time after the previous one has expired.

  • The installation job ID can be found in the original installation report email.

  • Example of the installation report email subject:
“Installation job QKY4XUL3 – location ‘Berlin parkplatz’ (2 stations installed)”
