The installation function within the reev Companion guides electricians step by step through the setup and configuration of reev‑compatible charging stations. It is an integral part of the application and replaces the former eWizard.

The reev Companion can be accessed via the following link: https://config.reev.com/start

Purpose

The installation function ensures that every installation is completed correctly, fully, and according to reev standards. This guarantees that the charging infrastructure operates reliably and is immediately connected to the reev Platform.

Benefits

  • Guided process: Every step is digitally supported.

  • Error prevention: Standardized data entry minimizes manual mistakes.

  • Automatic documentation: Installation reports are generated automatically.

  • Quick activation: Stations are ready for operation immediately after completion.

Overview of the process

1. Create a Location

In the reev Companion, create a new installation by entering the location name, main fuse limit, and (if applicable) enabling energy management (EMS).

2. Add Charging Stations

Add one or more stations and select the manufacturer, model, and number of units. All stations appear in an overview with progress indicators.

3. Enter Station Data

For each station, enter the relevant technical details:

  • EVSE ID

  • Phase rotation

  • Maximum charging power

4. Finalization and Handover

Enter the customer’s email address. The reev Companion automatically generates:

  • A location report summarizing all installed charging stations

  • A handover document confirming that the installation has been completed by the electrician

Note: Only fully completed installations can be activated in the reev Platform and monitored via the reev Companion.

Frequently Asked Questions
