Supported Models
Hager Witty Park 2
Further technical details can be found in the respective Hager installation and operating instructions.
Note: The Hager load management is not compatible with the reev SIM card. The Hager load management requires an active connection to the Hager Cloud in order to function correctly. This connection to the Hager Cloud cannot be established via the reev SIM card. Make sure to use an alternative internet connection (e.g. LAN, Wi-Fi, or a different SIM card) if the Hager load management is to be used.
Required Materials
reev documentation and materials – The required documents and materials should already be available to the operator / CPO (Charge Point Operator) or the appointed service provider. Here you will find the necessary onboarding material.
Laptop or notebook – required to perform the configuration.
RJ45 network cable (Ethernet) – used to establish a direct connection between the laptop and the charging station.
RFID card (included) – required to activate the charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot during initial commissioning.
Preparation
Make sure that:
the charging station is electrically installed correctly and is operational
a network connection (LAN or mobile network) is available
Step-by-Step Integration
The following sections describe the integration process step by step. Once all required materials from the previous section are available, the configuration can be carried out immediately.
1. Establish a connection to the charging station
Three options are available to access the web interface. Connecting via the Wi-Fi hotspot is recommended.
Option 1: Connection via the charging station's Wi-Fi hotspot (recommended)
Hold the supplied RFID card in front of the charging station.
Wait until the LED lights up blue – the Wi-Fi hotspot is now active.
Connect your laptop to the charging station's Wi-Fi network.
Open a browser and navigate to:
http://hager-evcs-[YYYYYY]/Replace [YYYYYY] with the last six characters of the serial number (found on the type plate of the charging station, highlighted in red in the image below).
Example:
Serial number: GeW1E-Wrdth-Eoye2eU7Ts37
Web address: http://hager-evcs-U7Ts37/
Option 2: Direct connection via Ethernet cable
Connect the charging station directly to your laptop using an RJ45 cable.
Open the following address in your browser:
http://192.168.3.5Make sure your laptop uses an IP address in the range (e g.
192.168.3.10).
Option 3: Connection via an existing network (router)
Connect the charging station to a router using a network cable.
Determine the IP address assigned to the charging station by the router.
Open this IP address in the browser (e.g.
http://192.168.20.1).
Note: Alternatively, http://hager-evcs-[YYYYYY]/ can be used if name resolution works within the network.
2. Log in to the charging station web interface
Use the following credentials:
Username: admin
Password: The first four characters of the serial number (case-sensitive, highlighted in green in the image above)
Example:
Serial number: GeW1E-Wrdth-Eoye2eU7Ts37
Password: GeW1
Important: The password must be changed after the first login.
3. Connect the charging station to the internet
To enable the connection to the reev backend, the charging station requires an active internet connection.
Internet connection via reev SIM
Open the "Charging Station" tab.
Click on the "Network -> Mobile Data" tile.
Enter the mobile data settings:
APN = emonvia
PIN = use PIN1, which is printed on the SIM card holder
Save the settings.
Note: Please note that our SIM cards only work with charging stations running firmware version v.1.1.15.6 or higher. You can check the current version under "Charging Station -> System Update" and update it there if necessary.
The update is only necessary if the wallbox is running a version older than 1.1.15.6. If you have any questions or are unsure on where to obtain the Firmwareupdate, please contact Hager Support Team.
For Customers in Germany: please see our German Language guide, regarding the Firmwareupdate, for the Hager Witty Park 2.
Note: The mobile connection is often incorrectly displayed as "No service".
After completing step "4. Configure the reev backend (OCPP)", check the current connection status under "Access Management -> Charge Point Operator".
Internet connection via LAN (Ethernet)
Open the "Charging Stations" tab.
Go to "Network".
Enable the "Wired" setting.
The charging station automatically receives internet access if a DHCP server is active in the network. For static IP addresses, please ask the local system administrator.
4. Configure the reev backend (OCPP)
Once the internet connection is active, the charging station can be connected to the reev backend.
Navigate to "Access Management".
Open the "Charge Point Operator" section.
Enter the following URL: wss://ocpp.reev.com
Authentication: "none"
Click "Save" to apply the settings.
In case of hardware problems
For technical problems with the hardware, we recommend contacting Hager Support. There you can directly create a support ticket with all relevant information: Hager – Contact and Support
Next steps
