Prerequisites

  • The charging station is already registered in the EVBox system

  • You have an active EVBox Everon account

    • If you dont have access to your Everon account please contact the EV-Box Support Team with:

  • The Firmware of the Station is up to date - see Step 1

  • You have been activated as a “Station Admin” by reev – see Step 2

1. Firmware Update

The Firmware update is crucial so please do not skip it

  1. Log in to your EVBox Everon account.

  2. Open the Firmware Tab

  3. Ensure that the latest firmware version is installed on the station.

    1. for the G4 the latest version is v0425....

    2. for the G3 the latest version is v0140....

2. Activation as Station Admin

  1. Log in to your EVBox Everon account.

  2. Open the Station Tab

  3. Select reev as your Technical Operator.

  4. If you have not yet been activated as a Station Admin, please contact us at support@reev.com.

  5. Once reev has activated you as a Station Admin, you may proceed with the configuration.

3. Adjust Configuration

Note: A general EVBox configuration video can be found here (for reference only – please follow the specific steps underneath).

  1. Navigate to Stations > Management

  2. Search for and select the charging station using the Station ID.

    1. Important: After each change, click the cloud icon to apply the change.

    2. please take a note of the Station ID, it is needed to identify the charger on the reev Plattform!

  3. Open the Features tab.

  4. Disable the setting “Autostart charging”.

  5. Switch to the Configuration tab.

  6. Search for and disable the configuration key evb_SerialAsConnectorID.

  7. Additionally, disable the following configuration keys:

    • evb_ResumeAfterReset

    • evb_ConnectorList

    • evb_SerialAsConnectorID (if not already disabled)

    • evb_EVBFunction

    • evb_DebugValues

    • Set evb_ConnectionInfo to false

4. Configure Backend Connection

Please note the model of your charging station (G3 or G4).

For EVBox G3 (without TLS encryption)

The G3 does not support TLS encryption, which is why it must connect without encryption.

Set the evb_Network configuration key as follows:

m2m.tele2.com,,**********,ws://ocpp.reev.com/,1.6J,80

For EVBox G4 (with TLS encryption)

  • Ensure the firmware version is at least v0425B0425v0. Only this Firmware supports TLS encryption!

  • If you are unsure about the Firmware version, please use the configuration without TLS encryption as described above for the G3.

  • Then set the evb_Network configuration key to:

m2m.tele2.com,,**********,wss://ocpp.reev.com/,1.6J,443

6. Final Steps

  1. Restart the charging station.

  2. Deactivate the station in the EVBox Everon Service.

    1. You can do that under the Tab "Details"

      1. Scroll down and select deactivate station

7. Additional Information

  • According to EV-Box, the SIM card delivered with the station is still paid for and will remain active until at least 2028.

    • after the the SIM needs to be replaced
