The serial number is required for commissioning and service cases. All manufacturers provide it on the nameplate (also referred to as the factory plate or rating plate). The nameplate contains all essential information about the charging station, including the serial number. Below you will find an overview of where exactly the serial number is located, depending on the manufacturer.
Note: The serial number is almost always placed below a barcode or QR code and is additionally labeled with “S/N” or “Serial Number.”
Charging stations from ABB
Terra EV fast charger
The serial number can be found directly below the top barcode on the type plate. Alternatively, it can be found directly below the logo in the top left-hand corner. Below you will see an example.
Terra AC Wallbox
The type plate is located on the right side wall of the charging station. The serial number is located in the second box below the ABB logo.

For EVBox charging stations, the Chargebox ID is required instead of the traditional serial number. You can find it on the nameplate of the charging station – usually labeled as “Chargebox ID.”
